Mercury is doing really well with jumping. We are doing tiny little jumps at a trot, but he is really eager (but not rushing). I am excited about the derby this weekend if I can get through the week of work that is hectic and stressful.
Tonight was the third puppy class. We had puppy playtime (calling them to us and giving them a treat); passed the puppies around doing sit and down and touching (so everyone in the class worked with every other puppy which was very interesting to see the difference in personalities); played puppy poker (we walked around a square with big cards face down and then when the music stopped, had 5 seconds to sit on a card to get it for your hand); and then worked on stay. What I missed last week was walking on the leash and take it and leave it.
You can't tell in the picture of me on Mercury, but I am wearing one of my Christmas presents from my favorite dog-toothpaste using person: the "Vaughan Wellness and Fitness Center" workout t-shirt. If I do a load of laundry before the show, I'll use it as my over-shirt to keep my show clothes clean.
