Olympia snow
It was too dark to take pictures tonight, so this is my shot out the back door. You can see the mound of new snow on the planter-thing, and that the snow immediately out the back door is cat height. I think it is about a foot of new snow. A branch fell on my house (but bounced off), so tomorrow I'll take more pictures in the light.
Seattle snow day - final shots
This snowman now has a snowfamily (two perfect snow kids and two dogs) - I picked this photo because of how Odin's ear is flapping.
And those mounds of brown are the cookies I tried to make for my support staff and friends for Christmas, but they were so ugly, I decided it would be like giving coal. They were delish though.

Dr. W's Response to Odie's Bad Smelling Leak
"Hi Martha- it may be that the intestines simply are not getting as perfused as they should be and there is a bacterial overgrowth//imbalance. we've got the tylosin powder in now ,pick it up today and start him on it. I doubt it's kidney related, his labs have been normal so far."
And, that powder stuff seems to have worked.

Two vetmedin (the big brown ones that he'll sort of eat plain)

One enalapril (pink, round)
1/8 tsp Tylan (powder)
Nonessential:
One glucosamine (huge oval white)
One coenzyme Q10 (small oval yellow)
One fish oil (big oval opaque yellowish)
LUNCH:
One mexiletine (brown & orange)
One coenzyme Q10 (small oval yellow)
DINNER:
Essential:
Two vetmedin (the big brown ones that he'll sort of eat plain)
Two carvedilol (the medium oval white one)
One mexiletine (the brown and orange one)
One enalapril (pink, round)
One salix (yellow, round or oval)
One meloxicam (small, round, yellow)
1/8 tsp Tylan (powder)
Nonessential:

Stampy seems to be doing really well on the Prozac!! He's almost lovable.
Odin had this disgusting, clear (i.e. not like runny poop), worst-smelling-ever liquid excretion yesterday.

Depressing vet visit
Judith was right. Kappa's head piercing was just a burst abscess, and the vet said that yes, in the future, I can just clean it and put neosporin on it. She said if I can, to keep him inside, and he gets some antibiotics twice a day.
Horribly, however, he has fleas and worms. So he got Revolution in addition to his rabies shots, and the girls will go in Saturday with Stampy to get rabies, Revolution, and wormer if they need it.
I am so grossed out.
Odin does not have giardia, but Dr. W had an idea for something to give him to try to stop leaky butt.
I'm so mortified about the condition of my cat that I can't even remember if there is anything else to report.

Disgusting Photo Warning: Kappa's Head Shots
I am a terrible pet owner. On Saturday, me and my dad noticed that Kappa's head had a funny lump and something that felt like a scab. He wasn't around Sunday when I left, and I didn't see him Tuesday night when I got back either.
This morning, he came in the house and was sleeping in his favorite box, and when I came home at lunch he was still there, then, very oddly, when I got home at 9 pm, he was still there.
I gave him some cat treats, which he gobbled, and then I noticed he was cleaning the spot, so I got some kleenex to help him. And I touched it, very lightly, and pus & blood came shooting out and soaked the kleenex. That happened two more times. Then the swelling was down enough, and his matted hair (and the hair cut I gave him Saturday to see if I could figure out what it was) revealed ....
a puncture wound. That looks deep, and appears to be in the top of his skull.
I shut the door so no cats can escape tonight (after I "cleaned" it (pushed on it and let it drain more and pushed the hair away), Kappa went and ate and used the litter box and sat on the piano and purred, so he seems to be feeling ok), and I'm going to call and try to take him to the vet tomorrow.
I have two concerns: Stampy bite and rabies.
