4 stops in 2 blocks

We just went on a walk and Odin had to stop and rest 4 times in the 2 blocks we walked around.

oh boy, I know, I'm now co-blogging (feel free to reject my comments)... daisy is back after two nights at the vet hospital. now on a regimen of 4 drugs. 3 or them every 12 hours, 1, every 8. seems everything is wrong with her heart that could possibly be wrong ... somehow the LEAST concerning in a big mass on it. 3 hours in and Daisy already peed on the floor. damn those diuretics work quick. busy times for me! (not so different from you and Odin) I very much need dog heart-failure counseling. At least for now... this is it.

I'm sorry to hear about Daisy. What drugs is she on? Odin is breathing funny, so approximately every 2 minutes I run over to see if he's still doing ok. I've started to dread the long walk down the hall when I get home in case it's the day he's not alive when I get to the bedroom ...

she is on Furosemide, Mexiletine (for arrhythmia), Enalpril, Pimobendan. I think you've given these all (or most of them) a shot in the past and/or currently. Two things are terrible: 1) Daisy was totally acting normal until the had her episode (except for coughing had started) and 2) Now she doesn't even like any food (even food I used to not give her, well, like delicious ground beef... well ok, that's a lie, she likes that a bit). Hopefully we will be able to cut back on the meds tomorrow (after re-check) so she can have some fun in these last days, months... Currently, I seem to be taking a week off from work for Daisy care...

also...sorry to hear Odin is not doing well. I also have the same fear. Have you handled all of your Odin responsibilities yourself? That seems tough!
